Kitesurfing in Punta Chame, Panama

Whoever has already attemped to kitesurf in Central America would agree that the consistency of wind on different spots is hard to find. Costa Rica has some nice places around Bahia Salinas, but in my opinion, the best kitespot in all Central America has to be Punta Chame. I have come here repeatedly over the last years while living in Panama, and always found some charme to it. And i am sure I will continue to be part of the kitesurfing community of Punta Chame for a long time! The Natural Splendor of Punta chame The place has change a lot over the years, and not necessarily in the best way. It has struggled to develop and to grow (which is a great plus if you ask me). Back in 2016 when I first visited Punta Chame, there was a massive Extreme Sport resort called Nitro city, built by Tarvis Pastrana. There were extravagant parties organized with a vast array of exreme sports on Display, […]

Itinerary of the Best Christmas Markets Tour in Europe

Christmas markets are starting to become very popular in the world and especially in Europe in the past decades. Even though they have been around since the middle ages, their popularity has exploded in recent years, and nowadays most big cities around central Europe will take advantage of the November and December months to try and boost tourism with a Christmas market. Since they are kind of easy to set up, requiring only a few huts and serving a variety of 10 different foods, every city can easily set them up. However, they can get as complex as they want to push them, and some Christmas markets are absolutely phenomenal to visit.  The Tour of central European Christmas markets Central Europe takes the cake for Christmas markets, and this year, I had plans to take a month and a half to visit some of the top markets around Germany and the Czech Republic. After Extensive research, I came up with a route that would bring […]

Announcing my 2nd Book: The World’s Most Traveled Man’s Top 60 Travel Tips

Here it is! My second book! And it’s called The World’s Most Traveled Man’s Top 60 Travel Tips. It was just launched worldwide this September 2021 and available on several platforms, in paperback and ebook format. Why so soon after just launching my first book Globetrotter, you might ask? Well simply because it comes hand in hand with Globetrotter! It’s more of a “How to” guide book, detailing ultimate tips and advice one could learn from experiencing 17 years living on the road and reaching all the countries in the world, half of a lifetime around the globe non-stop. I must admit, I saw it coming… And it happened! But I was prepared… When I first planned to write my memoir Globetrotter after reaching the 195/195 country milestone, I knew the book’s genre wouldn’t appeal to everybody. It is a biographical memoir, and in a memoir, we recount the story of a life experience, almost in a literal fictitious narrative. The writing style goes into […]

Iron Macho Challenge – The “Iron Man of the Seas” – 400 km KiteSurfing Expedition across 3 Brazilian States

After a nice warm–up a month prior, KiteSurfing 350 km from Fortaleza to Camocim with the Lagartixa expedition, this was the ultimate challenge: KiteSurfing more than 400km from Jericoacoara (known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world) to Atins in the desert of the Lençóis Maranhenses; an intense 5 day challenge in a true paradise on earth. A once in a lifetime journey which I will never forget… The Iron Macho kitesurfing trip As described in my previous post The “Marathon of the Seas” Expedition: KiteSurfing 350 km of Ocean Stretch Off the Brazilian Coast, I had previously taken part in an amazing KiteSurf expedition from Fortaleza to Camocim, surfing a total of 350km back in August 2020. The amount of hours spent on the oceans had been an incredibly good training for the ultimate adventure I had signed up for with Iron Macho. And I came up ready for the challenge which started at the end of September 2020. Inspired by […]

Visiting Georgia: A Paradise for Mountains, Culture, History and Wine Lovers

While it was hidden behind the soviet curtains, very little was known about Georgia,  being mostly a destination reserved for other other Soviet countries. But since the fall of the Soviet Union and since its government has taken western-aligned politics, Georgia has risen to fame, and its success is just barely starting. It’s pretty easy for a country to gain popularity as a tourist destination when you already have it all… Georgia is one of those countries that impresses me every time I come! On my first visit 5 years ago, I described it as the smallest country with the widest range of scenery a country can hold. Think mountains, beaches, valleys all in one place. Add to this a culture-packed country and thousands of years of history and you have a recipe for success! On top of this, Georgian people are known to be warm compared to other ex-soviet nations which help to get accustomized easily for first-time visitors expecting western style courtesy. A Taste of Georgian […]
