Visiting Hanoi in 2025: A City Where the Past and Future Collide

Estimated Reading Time: 17–18 minutes The Soul of Hanoi: Why It Still Captivates in 2025 Hanoi in 2025 is a place of subtle revolution. The skyline is climbing, electric buses glide through Old Quarter alleyways, and the new metro system is fully operational. Yet through all this change, the soul of Hanoi remains rooted in its traditions. You can sip egg coffee in a 100-year-old shop, walk past women selling flowers from bicycles, and witness elders performing Tai Chi at Hoan Kiem Lake—all within minutes of each other. What makes Hanoi stand out is its ability to evolve without losing itself. While the nightlife scene grows and rooftop bars offer skyline views, ancient pagodas still flicker with candlelight. It’s this contrast that draws travelers in and keeps them coming back. You’re not just visiting a city; you’re stepping into a rich narrative written over a thousand years—and in 2025, it’s only getting more interesting. My DIY Vanlife Build: Giving Myself New Tools to Explore the World in a Different Way

Many people have asked me over the years, what I would do once I reach my final 195th country of the world and check off this incredible journey I spent the last 20 years to accomplish. “What’s next” have they asked me repeatedly. “Well, I will just do it again, just differently” would I simply reply. As you may have heard before, “traveling is all about the Journey, not about the destination”. And it was time to build a new style of travel to keep the journey as interesting as possible. Once I reached my final country visited in August 2021 and after the release of my memoir Globetrotter, I was ready to undertake my exploration of the world in a totally new way and in many different forms. One project that I had on my bucket list for years, was to explore the beauties of Europe in more detail, in every corner. Europe contains an infinite number of villages that deserve to be explored! Announcing my 2nd Book: The World’s Most Traveled Man’s Top 60 Travel Tips

Here it is! My second book! And it’s called The World’s Most Traveled Man’s Top 60 Travel Tips. It was just launched worldwide this September 2021 and available on several platforms, in paperback and ebook format. Why so soon after just launching my first book Globetrotter, you might ask? Well simply because it comes hand in hand with Globetrotter! It’s more of a “How to” guide book, detailing ultimate tips and advice one could learn from experiencing 17 years living on the road and reaching all the countries in the world, half of a lifetime around the globe non-stop. I must admit, I saw it coming… And it happened! But I was prepared… When I first planned to write my memoir Globetrotter after reaching the 195/195 country milestone, I knew the book’s genre wouldn’t appeal to everybody. It is a biographical memoir, and in a memoir, we recount the story of a life experience, almost in a literal fictitious narrative. The writing style goes into […]

Saudi Arabia (Country 193/195) – 1 Week Traveling between Jeddah and Riyadh

I had been waiting for years to figure out a way to reach Saudi Arabia on my quest to travel to every country of the world. Being one of the closest countries in the world, Saudi Arabia recently made a 180-degree shift of policy to open its doors in a bid to kick-start tourism in the country. Not only did they start issuing tourist visas for special events starting late 2018, but it also has plans to build a touristic city a little bit in the style of Qatar and Dubai in the middle of the desert, and is already starting to invite several countries to come since 2018. I took advantage of a recent event called Jeddah Seasons to finally being able to explore the Kingdom after years investigating all the possible ways to come. This marked my 193rd country visited out of the 196 in the world. In This Article…1 A long due trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia2 Jeddah and the […]
